Sew Blue - An amazing fashion night

The Sew Blue Organisation held its second annual fashion event to raise awareness about depression and mental health issues..... The terrific trio - Leanne, Michelle and Rikki started on this endeavour after they lost a close friend to suicide caused by depression.....

This event was particularly special for me as I got to showcase my own collection with them.... from start to end I was involved as a participant and I must say I was immensely impressed by the dedication, sincerity and hard work that these girls put in..... every step was extremely organised and so systematic that even as a designer taking part in a fashion show I felt no pressure or stress at any point!!

Perfect was the setting at Mandurah Quay Resort..... matching the nautical theme of the event... Though the show was at 7.30 in the evening we started hair and make-up at noon... why? They even organised a photo-shoot for each collection out by the bay!
The show had some amazing nautical inspired collections by emerging designers like Fiona Miles, Nicola Yeung Designs, Rachel Mears, Candice, Ann Le, Aphra Higam, Leanne Dempsey, Michelle Cox and my label, S&S.

Interesting products displayed for silent auctions sponsored by many businesses, the proceeds of which would go to the Black Dog Institute..... and gorgeous girls dressed in wearable art forming static displays.... The show had it all!
Lots of photographs to follow!

Amazing show this year... I'm sure it will be bigger and better next year! Already excited! :D
